Create a Google (Gmail) Account

Go to the Google Account creation page. Open your web browser and navigate to accounts.google.com/signup.

Fill in your personal information. Enter your name, choose a username, and create a strong password.

Provide verification and recovery details. Adding a phone number and recovery email is highly recommended for account security.

Agree to the Terms of Service. Review and agree to the terms to finalize your account creation.
Enable 2-Step Verification (Required)

Go to your Google Account Security settings. Visit myaccount.google.com/security and sign in.
You cannot create an App Password until 2-Step Verification (2SV) is enabled.

Find and select "2-Step Verification". Under "How you sign in to Google," click on "2-Step Verification" to begin.

Follow the on-screen prompts. Google will guide you through adding a phone number for verification.

Confirm to Turn It On. On the final screen, click the "Turn On" button to activate 2SV.
Create an App Password

Return to the Security page. Go back to myaccount.google.com/security.
An App Password is a 16-digit code used to let less-secure apps (like scanners) access your account safely.

Find and select "App passwords". This option appears under "How you sign in to Google" only after 2SV is active.

Select "Other (Custom name)". Give your password a memorable name, like "Office Scanner" or "Scan to Email," then click "Generate".

Copy and Save Your New App Password. The generated password will be shown in a yellow box. This is the password to use in your device.
